THE PRACTICE · CHOOSING AN OBJECT
A scalp comb or a hair comb?
The useful distinction is not which one is better. It is what you want to do with it.
Begin with the task
For ordinary styling, you may want to arrange your hair or work through tangles. The ritual shown on this site is different: the presenter uses the comb against the scalp with short, controlled movements.
That is how we use the phrase “scalp comb” here. It describes the demonstration, not a medical classification, and it does not mean this comb should replace every other tool in your hair routine.
| What you want to do | What to look at |
|---|---|
| Arrange or detangle hair | Choose a tool suited to your hair and the task. Do not force this comb through knots. |
| Explore a scalp-combing ritual | Watch the movements, consider the grip and tooth edges, and keep pressure comfortable. |
| Explore a scented object | Ask about the full incense blend and your own fragrance preferences. |
Watch the movement before choosing the object
The video moves from the crown toward the back of the head, then along the sides. Later, the gestures become smaller around the ears and base of the skull. Watching those movements is more useful than judging a product from an attractive photograph alone.
Open the 99-second demonstration with an English guide. Pause wherever you need to. This is a visual introduction, not an instruction to press harder or complete a fixed number of strokes.
Check the material as well as the shape
This comb is described as an incense-and-herbal blend. A care routine for a wooden or plastic comb should not automatically be applied to it. Ask for the current cleaning and storage instructions, especially before wetting the object or using a cleaning product.
No result is guaranteed
A pleasing scent or a quiet moment can be reasons to enjoy an object. They are not evidence that it grows hair, treats a condition or suits a sensitive scalp. Avoid broken or irritated skin and stop if use is uncomfortable.
If you are unsure whether the materials suit you, send a product question. We can start with the details instead of a promise.
